The George dates back five centuries to a time when Columbus arrived in America. At the time of the fire in 2013, it was the last remaining pub in the village.

Hospitality has been the stock in trade of The George for 500 years.

Thanks to the generosity of Wickham Market’s community, The National Lottery Heritage Fund and other grant providers, the future of The George has been secured for generations to come.
